In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Lords Committee of the House of Peers have by their Order of the 4th inst; directed us to give them a particular account in what condition the Ships now at Sea are, and whether when they were set out they were in thorough Repairs, or only in such Repairs as would enable them to perform the several Expeditions they were sent upon.
And as to the Ships in harbour, what Repairs such Ships may need, and in what time respectively they may be fitted for Sea.
We direct you to consider this and send this Board a Report enabling us to give their Lordships satisfaction in respect of their request.
