In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have been informed that notwithstanding the WARSPITE was refitted when she went to Sea, she has returned to Port very leaky and in a bad condition.
We direct you to make strict enquiry how the Ship was sent out so slightly repaired, and you are to give strict orders that more care be taken in repairing such Ships which now are, or shall hereafter come into Port to be fitted out to Sea.
