In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We direct you to cause the FOWEY upon her arrival at Plymouth to be sheathed and fitted there for a voyage to the West Indies and victualled for eight months of proper Species for this voyage, for her middle complement of Men, to which you are to cause her present number to be reduced, and that what Men she has above her middle complement be turned into the SEAFORD.
Understanding from Vice Admiral Aylmer that the GOSPORT has already gone into Portsmouth Harbour we direct you to cause her to be sheathed, fitted, victualled, stored and manned for a voyage to New York at Portsmouth, in the same manner as the FOWEY was ordered to be fitted for that voyage.
