Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)
In answer to your letter of yesterday's date informing that the Ship with Stores for the new 4th Rate building at Hazell near Hull is still lying at Sheerness for want of a Convoy, I would inform you that Orders were sent to Captain Munden, C-in-C at the Nore on receipt of your letter of the 11th last month, to order the Newcastle Convoy to take care of her to Hull, as advised to you on the 14th. The Store Ship missed Convoys by the WINCHELSEA and SWEEPSTAKES as she had not arrived at their dates of sailing.
Another Order has been sent to Captain Munden to order the next Newcastle Convoy and any other Ship bound that way to see her in safety to Hull.
