In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Upon consideration of your late letter we direct you to cause the MUSCOVIA MERCHANT Storeship, now at Deptford, to be discharged from HM's service, and paid off. The Men belonging to her, except the Commissioned and Warrant Officers and their Servants, are to be put on board some Tender in the River and carried to the C-in-C at the Nore.
Upon the arrival of the MONCK at Chatham you are to cause her to be well repaired, sheathed and fitted for a Foreign voyage.
Captain Desborough was directed by Lord Berkeley to take charge and Command of the NORFOLK. We direct you to pay his Wages during the time he commanded her, notwithstanding he has not passed any account for her, having only a Warrant from Lord Berkeley empowering him to command that Ship.
