In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

The HAMPSHIRE SORLINGS, which are to lie some time at the Buoy of the Nore, are in great need of Provisions. We direct that you give orders for them to be immediately supplied, and also the Vessels in the River taken up for pressing Men, without which they cannot sail.
You are also to sign Bills on the Navy Treasurer for the Salaries of the following Officers employed by the Commissioner for Registry:- T. Bathurst, Registrar for the Port of London, at £100 per annum, Mr Edward Gerrald, Controller of his accounts, £80 per annum, John Stubbs and John Seaton, his Clerks, the former at £50 and the latter at £40 per annum, all to commence from Midsummer last.
With your letter of yesterday's date to our Secretary you have sent to us a Copy of a letter from Sir Edward Gregory concerning the lack of Provisions at Chatham, and the Captain of the DUCHESS has also written about the shortage of Bread for her voyage to Blackstakes. We direct you to give immediate Orders to the Victualling Commissioners to provide Provisions there.
