In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

We directed you to consider and report to this Board what Prices are proper to allow to Pursers in the Fleet to the Seamen for Provisions of each Specie which they shall save from time to time out of their daily allowance, so they may be kept in the Fleet and not sold as formerly to Merchant ships or otherwise.
Your letter of the 14th inst; referred to your letter of 23rd April 1994 in which you proposed allowances as detailed.
We direct you to give the necessary directions for the respective Pursers in HM Ships to buy the Provisions which the Seamen shall so save, at the Prices mentioned, till further Order.
