In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
His Majesty has been informed by Vice Admiral Allemand that a Dutch Man of War called the SNEEK, Captain Leyden van Leewen Commander, has lost her Bowsprit and received other damage by the Vice Admiral of the Blue's Squadron running foul of her when the Fleet sailed lately from St. Helens, when she was obliged to return to Spithead for repairs.
His Majesty has signified to this Board that Orders be given to the Navy Commissioner at Portsmouth to furnish out of the Yard there Timber necessary for the repair of the Bowsprit and other damages, taking the Captain's receipts for the same, to be restored in Specie or the value thereof paid in Money.
