In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Your letter of the 3rd November last send us a draught of the instructions for the persons being sent to act as Agents in New England for sending to his Majesty a true Account of the conditions of that Colony with relation to the produce of Ship Timber and Plank, Deals, Rozin, Pitch, Tar, Hemp, Cyprus Masts, Rafters and other Stores proper for the Service of HM's Navy. A copy of the Instructions is hereto annexed.
You have nominated to us John Bridger and Benjamin Furzer as persons qualified to proceed there, to join with William Partridge and Thomas Bletso, who will be sent by the Agents of the Colony, and you are to direct them to proceed to New England accordingly, giving them their Instructions.
Concerning their Salaries HM has been pleased to order that they shall have £500 imprest to them out of the Treasury, to go on his own Account, as well as the two sent by the Colony Agents, and that according to their respective merits in this Service they shall be rewarded on their return.
