Document signed by William Bridgeman, c.1646-1699, English civil servant and Secretary to the Admiralty between 1694 and 1698.
At the Court at Kensington on December 10th 1696. Present:- The kings most Excellent Majesty in Council. A report from the Treasury Commissioners concerning the allowances to be made to the two persons named by Sir Henry Ashhurst, and the two persons named by the Navy Board, who are being sent as Commissioners to inspect and bring back several species of Naval stores from some of HM's Plantations. When the service is performed such further reward should be made as thought reasonable. [A true copy].
