Document signed by William Bridgeman, c.1646-1699, English civil servant and Secretary to the Admiralty between 1694 and 1698.
Orders have been sent to Captain Munded at the Nore to detail the first Warship sailing to the West to convoy the FRIENDSHIP to Portsmouth with hemp; and informing that should that Warship not go that far westward, orders have been given to the Muster Master at Deal for the Warship to accompany the FRIENDSHIP as far as Spithead.
