In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The CRESCENT, ST. PAUL and VULCAN at Deptford, the ST. VINCENT at Sheerness and the ETNA at Plymouth - all Fire ships - are to be fitted out at those ports for service in the Channel with the Main Fleet and manned with the highest complement of Men together with four months victuals.
