Document signed by William Bridgeman, c.1646-1699, English civil servant and Secretary to the Admiralty between 1694 and 1698.
Mary Beddoe, wife of the late George Beddoe Captain's Servant in the MARY GALLEY has petitioned the Admiralty claiming that her former Captain appropriated her husband's wages by using a false power of attorney. Captain Griffiths has written denying receiving Beddoes wages by such means. But the Admiralty want the claim to be investigated. An extract of Griffith's letter is enclosed.
