In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

Informing that a number of ships have been reduced to Fourth Rate and asking what complement of Men they should now receive. The ships are named in the margin of the letter. Instructions are required to cover the exchange of Surgeons between the STIRLING CASTLE and the MONCK. Sir Cloudesley Shovell has written complaining of the dearth of Provisions for ships at Spithead. A copy of the letter is enclosed and Orders are given to instruct the Commissioners for Victualling to act immediately.
