Research notes and correspondence on the career of Captain Samuel Cornell Plant (1866-1921), relating to Pearsall's article 'Capt. Plant of the Upper Yangtse', published in 'The Nautical Magazine', November 1969. Including photographs of the Plant Memorial at Hsin Tan and a copy of the speech made by the British Consul at the unveiling ceremony on 15 November 1924.
