Journal excerpts and postcard from a passenger on the SAUGOR, 1929.
Typescript excerpts describing a voyage on the SAUGOR (1928), owned by James Nourse Ltd, between Barbados and Jamaica in April 1929. The excerpts describe the passenger facilities and crew (including lascars) and are taken from 'Touring the West Indies’, by Albert Remington Kessinger, publisher of the ‘Rome Sentinel’ newspaper, New York State, USA. Also a postcard with a photograph of Boonville Gorge, near Rome, sent by Kessinger to Quarm in the month after the voyage.
