Letters from John Short to Ella Ambrose January to March 1937.
The first letter of 1937 encloses a cutting from an unknown publication about Short's mother's funeral. Short continues enjoying his job as a draughtsman on the Isle of Wight, and the couple see each other at the weekends. He officially resigns from the British India Steam Co. on 7th January. He writes about the difficulties finding a house or flat for them to live in. He continues writing up until just before their wedding in April.
