In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
The Surveyor of the Navy has, in his letter dated 31st May 1695, stated that Mr Stiggant, Master Shipwright at Portsmouth, is not following the prescribed methods for building the new 80-gun ship there. He is to be dismissed and nominations for his successor are to be submitted.
