Document signed by William Lowndes, 1652-1724, Secretary to the Treasury (from 1695) under King William III and Queen Anne.

In November 1694 the Treasury Commissioners directed an imprest to be made out to the Marquess of Carmarthen for payments made to Messrs Acton & Partners for clothing and bedding supplied to the First Marine Regiment since February 1693. This was to be cleared out of the pay and wages due to the Officers and Soldiers of that regiment. From this year, 1695, the imprest is to be abated from the Officers pay.
