Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)
Captain Allen, commanding the SAUDADOES, Prize, reports that one of the plank ships he had been ordered to call for in the River Humber, was 20 miles above Hull and was prevented from leaving owing to there being insufficient water. The said plank ship, commanded by Thomas Drayton, is to be ordered to come downstream so as to be ready to join the next man-of-war ordered to accompany her.
