In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Peter Jolliff of Poole, having recaptured a ketch from Weymouth from a French privateer and then chasing the privateer ashore near Lulworth where she broke up, is to be rewarded with a medal and chain. A bill for £50 is to be drawn on the Treasury and paid to Thomas Neal of the Royal Mint to cover the cost. The sum involved is to be recovered from the Tenths of Prizes provision under the recent Act of Parliament.
