Your letter of 2 February and the extract from one from the Commissioners of the Victualling has been sent to their Lordships. They direct that you give orders to the Commissioners of the Victualling to have the beer money for the ships going to the West Indies paid immediately to the Pursers. The Pursers are to take the money on board and not leave it with their families and Captain Meere, Commander-in-Chief of the squadron is directed to enquire into the matter when they arrive.
