In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

You are directed to give orders to the Commissioners of the Victualling to pay the Captain of the LIGHTNING, bound for the West Indies, the beer money. We have also received a letter from the Commissioners at Plymouth about the ST MALO, lately discharged from His Majesty's service, that the owners have not yet sent orders for her to sail from there. You are directed to write to the owners. Vice Admiral Mitchell has written about the present method of victualling of the ships at Spithead and the hardships suffered by the men.
