Roger Gray is to be appointed Purser of SMIRNA MERCHANT hired ship, in place of the former removed to the new 4th Rate building at East Cowes. You are directed to enter him accordingly together with such allowance of wages and victuals for himself and servant as is proper. His warrant is to be dated 4 February 1696/7.
