By order of the Treasury, I send you copies of two estimates given by the Committee for Trade of Sea. Provisions for 1000 men for 224 days, the one made by the Commissioners for Transportation, the other by Sir Joseph Herne and Sir John Parsons, the latter supporting payment to be made by tally. You are directed to consider these and report your opinion thereon as to the charge in the Navy Office (exclusive of victualling) as soon as possible.
