Document signed by William Bridgeman, c.1646-1699, English civil servant and Secretary to the Admiralty between 1694 and 1698.

I have received your letter of 12 February with the copy of the answer of the officers at Kinsale to the complaint of them made by Captain Crosse and an order he sent them concerning the survey and refitting of the DOVER, WEYMOUTH and LOOE. Their Lordships have directed that Captain Crosse be reprimanded for giving such an order to the officers, and that he be set right for the future as to how he should conduct himself in like cases.
