In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have received a petition from James Lordeau, lately belonging to the VICTORY, that by a fall he broke his back but could not get a certificate from the Surgeon. He is unable to get a pension from the Chest at Chatham and prays to be received as a cripple on board one of His Majesty's ships. You are directed to have him received on board the ASSURANCE guardship and borne as a cripple accordingly.
