In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Peter Seller, Master of the OSSORY, by reason of age and infirmity is incapable of officiating in his post. We have thought fit to discharge him and it appears from your report dated 19 February that he has served as Master in several ships for 10 years and 11 months which is more than the time limit for such officers to be superannuated by the Establishment made by His Majesty in Council of 11 December 1690. You are directed to settle a pension on him during his natural life equal to the wages and allowances for a Master, to commence from the time of his discharge and you are to sign bills quarterly on the Treasurer of the Navy for this pension.
