In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

The Commissioner at Plymouth, in his letter of 16 February, has given an account of the condition of the new rope house and tarring house and also of the wet and dry docks. From what we have heard from other hands, we think it absolutely necessary that this business should be looked into to prevent further decay to these works. You are to report to us the condition of these works together with the reason for their early decay and to have repairs put in hand immediately.
