Joseph Saires, late Gunner of the Etna fireship, is to be appointed Master Gunner of the new 4th Rate building by Mr Wells at Rotherhithe. You are directed to enter him accordingly together with such allowance of wages and victuals for himself and servant as is proper. His warrant is to be dated 23 February 1696/7.
