In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Richard Kirkby is to be reimbursed the expenses incurred by his ship the SOUTHAMPTON and other ships with him in the Straits provided all necessary receipts and signatures covering Stores and Repairs are forthcoming. As regards to other matters such as the care of sick and wounded as well as the cost of transporting French Prisoners of War, Kirkby has been ordered to submit accounts. Further matters are also mentioned concerning Merchants at Messina, the Consul at Leghorne and Sir William Hodge at Cadiz.
