Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

I am commanded by the Admiralty Commissioners to signify their directions to you that you let them know whether you have any objections to paying the remainder of the Wages due to the late Captain Fisher, Commander of the JERSEY, after the £302.7s.8d is deducted therefrom, which you say he is indebted on his Victualling account, more than his not having passed his other accounts, which his Executors are not able to do by reason of his Papers being lost at his death in the West Indies.
