Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

The Admiralty Commissioners have received a letter signed JR in which he has made some complaints about the payment of Men at Chatham. They have asked me to send you the enclosed Copy and endeavour to find out the identity of the person mentioned therein who belonged to the TORBAY, and order him to attend them. You are also to examine the other particulars mentioned and cause justice to be done to the persons concerned according to the Rules and Practice of the Navy.
