Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

Captain Warren, who commands the Ships of War going to the East Indies, asks to be furnished with Credits there for procuring Provisions in case what he carries is insufficient. The Admiralty Commissioners have asked me to send you an extract of his letter, and they direct you to consider what sum of money that may be proper to give him Credit for, and apply to the East India Company for their giving Credit accordingly. You should let me know for their Lordships' consideration what you do in regard to Captain Warren's final orders for sailing.
