Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

I have received your letter of today with a Collection of the Orders for passing Accounts since the beginning of the War, and laid these before the Admiralty Commissioners. They have noticed that there is no mention made of the late Lord Berkeley's Contingent Accounts, which were passed by their Orders of 9th March 1697/8 in pursuance of the King's War. They have commanded me to write to you for these. They also direct you to inquire whether any Order has passed from the King or the Lords of the Treasury about the years 1689 or 1690 for £2000, also of HM's free gift to the Earl of Torrington.
