In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Whittaker, Commander of the Chatham at Plymouth, has informed us that he has about six weeks of West India Provisions on board, which not being of the same species with which other Ships in the harbour are victualled, the Men desire their return to the Victualling Office, or distributed to the respective Ships, and they have a proportion thereof.
We are sending a Copy of Captain Whittaker's letter and direct you to consider this and direct what you consider best for HM Service.
