In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have considered your letter of the 18th inst; to our Secretary, together with the Account from the Victualling Commissioners of the Officers and Clerks employed in their Office, with the respective Duties they perform, and what Salaries are allowed them yearly. We direct you to consider this Account forthwith and opine what part of the said Charge, considering this present Peace, may be taken off, all other Offices in the Navy having been so considerably retrenched since the close of the War.
