In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
We have received information upon Oath of Charles Jones of some embezzlement of Stores by the Officers of several of HM's Ships, a Copy of which information comes enclosed. This Board has resolved that the Officers who sold these Stores shall be tried at a Court Martial. We direct you to inform yourselves from Charles Jones (who we have ordered to attend your Board for that purpose) which of these Officers sold the Stores, and give an account thereof. These Officers are to be suspended from their respective employments, and all other offenders are to be strictly prosecuted at law. You are to give us an account of your proceedings.
