I am commanded by the Admiralty Commissioners to send you the enclosed Petition of Elizabeth Pope, on behalf of her servant Benjamin Jones, who belonged to the GLOUCESTER, praying that the R put on him be taken off. If on examination you find him under the same circumstances as those whose R's were ordered to be taken off that belonged to the GLOUCESTER by their Lordships' late orders to you, his R should also be taken off. Please let me know what you do.
