In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
This Board has taken notice that no Money has been sent down lately to pay the Ships being discharged and laid up for easing the growing Charges. Frequent applications have been made lately by Officers whose Ships are paid off, who have passed their accounts, and who request their Wages. Most of them have stayed a considerable time and we think it necessary that particular regard should be had to those Services. We therefore direct you to solicit the Treasury for the Money to pay these wages.
