In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Admiral Aylmer has advised us that there will be a great want of topmasts for the 4th Rate ships and under of the squadron under his command in the Straits. You are directed to send a number of topmasts and other stores that you think necessary in merchant ships bound for Cadiz. Lieutenant Stevenson is appointed Lieutenant of the SAUDODOES prize at Jamaica and you are to arrange a passage and victuals for him and servant and to make payment accordingly.
