In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

James Small, late Gunner's Mate of the ADVENTURE, has sent a petition stating that in 1694 he was ordered by this Board to attend to give evidence in town against some Irish prisoners. He was not allowed pay on the ship for that time and is therefore praying the same, and it appears by a certificate from Mr Edward Whitaker our Solicitor, that he came to town about 4 June 1694 and continued until 26 November. You are directed to give the petitioner as much relief as other like cases.
