Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)
Captain Ormerod has written giving an account of the delay in the finishing of the engine to be placed aboard the HAMPSHIRE. The ironworks refuse to deliver the iron works and moulds and you are directed to make enquiry of what Captain Ormerod alleges and to advise their Lordships whether you intend to make a trial of the engine pursuant to the orders you have received.
