In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
Captain Laton, Commander of the FLY brigantine, has informed us that in the late storm he so feared for the security of the vessel that he had the main mast cut way which caused the loss of her mizzen mast. The vessel is now at Dover pier and you are directed to have her refitted there or to let us know where she may be conveniently re-fitted.
