Document signed by William Lowndes, 1652-1724, Secretary to the Treasury (from 1695) under King William III and Queen Anne.
My letter of 7 February directed that the Treasurer of the Navy make bills for impresting £2,438.4.0 to the Colonels of the four Marine Regiments in equal proportions for subsistence for one month from 29 January last. We are informed that Colonel Brudenall should receive a greater proportion since 42 of his men have lately been landed from on board the CENTURION. You are directed to proportion the sum as follows. Viz. £595.10.0 each to Colonels Seymour, Colt, Mordant and £651.14.0 to Colonel Brudenall.
