Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)

You are to prepare and send to their Lordships, an account of money paid in, short of that which was last year voted by parliament, upon each head of the Navy. Their Lordships have received a letter from the Commanders of several ships which have been paid off, requesting that the wages due to them may be paid, We enclose an extract of this letter and you are directed to lay this before the Treasury to solicit money for these wages.
