Document signed by Josiah Burchett (c.1666-1746), Secretary to the Admiralty (1694-1742)
Their Lordships have received a paper signed by the Warrant Officers of several ships which are paid of, setting forth the hardships for want of their pay and praying the same since their accounts have been passed some time since. You are directed to put their case before the Lords of the Treasury and solicit money for them. You are also directed to consider the enclosed paper from Abraham Alloway, setting forth the several abuses committed in the yard.
