In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board

The Commissioners of the Victualing have given us an account of the late storm that has done great damage to the Victualing Office at Dover. They have asked whether they should send workmen from hence or whether workmen at Dover are to take a survey and make an estimate for repairing the damage. We send you a copy of their letter and direct you to have the repairs performed in such manner they shall think proper with regard to the expenditure of the Treasury.
