In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
This is to certify to the Commissioners of the Navy that during the time of the suspension of Mr John Cole, Purser of the CAMBRIDGE, he has supplied the ship with all convenient necessaries and a Steward at extra pay to issue the provisions, there being no person appointed to do so. He being a very diligent officer, I recommend him to you for favourable consideration that he may have the pay allowed him to the time the new Purser shall take charge. Signed by Thomas Cranley; Captain of the CAMBRIDGE.
