In-letters and orders received by the Navy Board
His Majesty has referred to us the petition of Mr Robert Colpepper, wherein he proposes making the harbour at Rye serviceable for His Majesty's ships. We send you a copy of the petition and of a certificate he has from Sir Henry Shere, also the original draft of the harbour and proposals for carrying out the work. You are to refer the same to the gentlemen of your Board and of Trinity House and to direct them to give their opinion as soon as may be.
